About

Ardently is my home. Throughout our frequent moves and travels, it is a permanent fixture of my daily life, a place to record and share my soul with the world. It is where I document my life as a woman, a traveler, a wife, a doula, a writer, and someday soon, a mother.

My husband and I currently live in Central Florida, although our location is likely to change any given month. You see, we move a lot. Between the two of us we've lived in some 50+ homes, and in the year we've been married we've already moved internationally... twice.

We love to travel, and between the two of us we've tasted somewhere around 35 countries, and we aren't anywhere near done yet! We also love to eat - this usually involves me cooking up some fantastic international concoction and then taking a nap while my husband cleans up the hurricane I've left behind.

Us
Arden aka the writer: I'm a lot of things, but I'm looking forward to the day when I can be called a mama.
In the meantime, I enjoy blogging, photography, travel, collecting books, interior design, international cuisine and researching and studying things like natural childbirth, alternative housing, and green living.
I'm passionate about pregnancy and birth, and my work as a doula allows me to embrace that passion wholeheartedly.
Someone once asked me to describe the best day of my life. The first thing that popped into my mind was "The library sale!" followed quickly by "I mean... my wedding day. Of course." My husband luckily shares my enthusiasm for library sales filled with beautiful hardcover books on sale for nickles.

Rowan aka the husband: We've been together since 2008, and married since 2011. He's a people person, an awesome husband, and talks fondly of the day he hopes to become a daddy.
He loves history and cultural anthropology, and shares a love of languages with me. He also really likes outdoorsy things like canoeing, hiking, and archery. He doesn't blog, because there isn't anything left to say after I share our entire life with the world.
He does translating and works as a electrician, and spends his free time buried in research just like me.
